Action Project Funding- Learning for a Sustainable Future

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: $400
  • Deadline: November Annually
  • Who: Student lead climate change projects. 

 

Active NL Fund 

  • Province: Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Amount: Up to $1,400
  • Deadline: PAST DEADLINE
  • Who: Funding is available to develop, deliver, purchase or upgrade active healthy living infrastructure, equipment, and initiatives targeted at increasing physical activity, sport, active recreation, and healthy eating for individuals of all ages.

 

Canada Post

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: Up to $250,000
  • Deadline: March 1, 2024
  • Who: The Canada Post Community Foundation provides grants to Canadian schools, charities and community organizations that make a difference in the lives of children and youth (up to age 21).

 

Clean Foundation Grant

  • Province: NS
  • Amount: $500
  • Opens: November 30th, 2023 (Round 1). March 28th, 2024 (Round 2).
  • Who: Clean Climate Action Grants are available to youth across Nova Scotia in grades primary to 12. Youth may apply individually or as a group. Project groups can be made up of friends, a school class, a club/team, or another community youth group. 

 

Community Conservation Action Program

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: Up to $10,000
  • Deadline: Summer 2024 new applications open.
  • Who: Research, academic and educational institutions, Indigenous organizations, associations, and community management boards. Local organizations such as community associations and groups, seniors’ and youth groups, and service clubs.

 

Community Garden Support Program

  • Province: Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Amount: Up to $750
  • Deadline: OPEN, First come first serve
  • Who: Municipalities, schools, and community groups to enhance to establish a community garden.

 

Farm to Cafeteria Grant

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: Up to $3,000
  • Deadline: PAST DEADLINE
  • Who: Flexible grants to support schools looking to get started on their farm or local food to school journeys.  These grants are intended to help improve school food environments by increasing access to healthy, local and culturally appropriate foods in schools and/or improve opportunities for hands-on learning through food and food systems.

 

Go Wild School Grants

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: $1,500- $2,000
  • Deadline: PAST DEADLINE
  • Who: We are inviting students, educators and faculty to share their best ideas to protect or restore nature.

 

Learning Garden Grants- Nutrients for life

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: Up to $500
  • Deadline: PAST DEADLINE
  • Who: Schools across Canada. 

 

Roots and Shoots Grants- Jane Goodall

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: Up to $1000
  • Opens: November 2024.
  • Who: Schools across Canada. 

 

School Health Grant for Youth

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: $1500-$3500
  • Deadline: PAST DEADLINE
  • Who: Must be a youth between the ages of 13-19 or be a student enrolled in grades 9-12 or in Secondary 3 to 6 in Quebec. Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident in Canada. Must not be a federal government employee at the time of applying.

 

TD Friends of the Environment

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: $2000 to $8000
  • Deadline: July and January Annually
  • Who: Registered Canadian charities with a Charitable Registration Number (CRN). Educational institutions (primary/secondary/post-secondary). Municipalities. Indigenous groups/communities.

 Trades NL

  • Province: Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Amount: $1,000
  • Deadline: June 21st, 2024
  • Who: The Trades NL Education School Grant supports initiatives that support student programming, resources & equipment- aiming to positively impact a variety of supports for school-aged children and the communities in which both they and our members reside as neighbours, friends and family.

Wellness Coalition 

  • Province: Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Amount: $1000
  • Deadline: October 1st and February 1st annually.
  • Who: The Coalitions provide opportunities for people to become involved in community action around the issues that affect their health by providing leadership, coordination and support for local wellness initiatives.

 

WholeKids Foundation Garden Grant

  • Province: Any Province
  • Amount: $2000
  • Deadline: October Annually
  • Who: K–12 Schools or Non-Profit Organizations in U.S./Canada.
